Much of the developed world has a diet that’s deficient in magnesium; studies have found anywhere from 50-80% of the population of developed nations have inadequate magnesium intake (Rosanoff et al., 2012; Touvier et al., 2006).
Magnesium plays a major role in overall health and wellness—in adequate amounts in the body, it pushes excess calcium out of the soft tissue and back into the bone, helps to calm the nervous system, relax muscles, and regulate blood sugar, insulin metabolism, cardiac excitability, vasomotor tone, and blood pressure (Gröber et al., 2017; Pitchford, 2002).
Research shows that when soaking in a hot bath filled with dissolved, unrefined salts, magnesium can be absorbed through the skin into the soft tissue to promote these same therapeutic actions (Gröber et al., 2017).
Formulate your bath salts with a blend of Celtic sea, Dead sea, Himalayan, Epsom, and magnesium chloride salts, add a dusting of herbal powders, and a small amount of carrier oil and essential oil. The Floral Delivery has bath salts that incorporate flowers/herbs plus essential oils & keep them organic and vegan.
It is perfectly fine to go heavy on the salts when incorporating them into your bath, starting with around 1-2 tablespoons and increasing to 1-2 cups per bath. If you are working with chronic skin conditions, you can safely add salt to a hot bath until the last granules refuse to dissolve, essentially making a “sea water” bath.

We also have reusable cotton muslin drawstring bags if you want to keep the flowers/herbs in the bag instead of floating around in your bath
